For the Summer School 2025, the University for Continuing Education Krems invites contributions from cultural, curatorial, archival and organizational studies that address the diverse practices of ‚sorting out’ and ‘sorting in‘ in the sense of making material and immaterial collections accessible and meaningful.
The event featured four panels spanning two half-days, covering a range of diverse topics such as collections as data & especially newspapers as datasets, artificial intelligence and its applications in libraries.
Thanks to the Transkribus tool, the participants of the CLARIAH-AT Summer School were able to try out basic techniques of digital source-criticism and analysis on the inventories of Fortress Hohensalzburg and got acquainted with the digital workflow.
A roadshow of CLARIAH-AT-funded DH projects took place in the context of the CLARIAH-AT Summerschool in Salzburg in autumn 2024. It covered an interdisciplinary range of applications of digital humanities methods.
Through collaboration & sharing of expertise & resources, CLARIAH-AT aims to foster DH research and engagement with digital academic resources, not only among scholars & professionals but also the general public -- a DARIAH-EU Impact Case Study.
CLARIAH-AT supports early career researchers in Digital Humanities & Cultural Heritage at MA and PhD level with various grants.
CLARIAH-AT is the consortium of Austrian universities and research institutions that coordinates and drives Austrian activities in the European ESFRI research infrastructures CLARIN (Common Language Resources and Technology Infrastructure) and DARIAH (Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities).
The regular CLARIAH-AT call for contribution aims at supporting research activities that are in alignment with the Digital Humanities Austria Strategy 2021+ and the strategic goals of CLARIN-ERIC and DARIAH-EU.
