The Austrian Centre for Digital Humanities (ACDH) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences has been entrusted by the EURALEX Committee to host the 22nd EURALEX International Congress in 2026. The conference will take place from 29 September to 3 October 2026 under the theme “Lexicography in the Age of AI” in Vienna. Its aim is to explore the role of artificial intelligence in lexicography and showcase innovative approaches and technologies.
The programme includes plenary lectures, thematic sessions, software demonstrations, poster presentations, workshops, a book exhibition, and keynote speeches. Additionally, a social programme will allow participants to experience Vienna. The conference is planned as an onsite event, with hybrid elements such as streaming for parallel sessions.
The organisation of the congress began in November 2025. Key tasks include planning venues, accommodation for keynote speakers, programme design, and conducting a review process for submitted contributions. The congress outcomes, including the proceedings and the book of abstracts, will be published in collaboration with the ÖAW publishing house.
