New Jupyter Notebooks in the ÖNB Labs – try them out now!
We are very pleased to present several new Jupyter Notebooks on the ONB Labs GitLab !
As part of the “Data Analysis in the ONB Labs” project, several new JNBs (in German) and improved existing functionalities were developed. This collection offers you a practical introduction to a wide variety of analysis and research scenarios — from first steps to data-driven workflows using real ONB data.
What can you expect? A concise and versatile program of learning and analysis on topics such as:
- Introductions into Jupyter Notebooks , data analysis and visualization , and Regular Expressions
- Exploring various web archive data and metadata
- Working with bibliographic metadata from the ONB catalogue
- Visualizing queries from ANNO , the ONB’s portal for historical newspapers and magazines
- Retrieving and analyzing data regarding historical organizations from the Ariadne portal “Women in Motion 1848–1938”
All the notebooks are designed with practical applications in mind and showcase both typical and more unconventional workflows. They are intended to help you get started with using open data from the Austrian National Library and to encourage you to explore and experiment.
